Night declaration in Morocco
Definition : The night declaration (télédéclaration des nuitées) is the electronic declaration, to the administration, of data on the guests hosted by a tourist accommodation.
The night declaration (télédéclaration des nuitées) is the online declaration, by tourist accommodation businesses, of data about their guests. It replaces sending paper documents with an electronic transmission.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, the online night-declaration system has been operational since June 2024, on the stdn.ma platform, with a daily record of nights.
The framework
The declaration rests on law No. 80-14 on tourist establishments and other forms of tourist accommodation. Decree No. 2.15.865 of 9 June 2016 sets the rules for the electronic declaration of guest data; according to the business press, it specifies transmission after guests arrive and leave, the model of individual accommodation bulletin and what to do if the system is down.
Who is concerned?
According to the business press, the obligation targets businesses that host tourists, whether hotels, guesthouses or hotel residences. For a villa, apartment or other furnished accommodation, the position depends on its status: ask before concluding you are not concerned.
Preparing in practice
Whatever the declaration channel, what matters is having guest data that is accurate, complete and easy to find: identity, nationality, ID document, arrival and departure dates. Online check-in and a police form prepared before arrival avoid retyping.

Access and declaration procedures are set by the administration and may change. Keep a record of what was declared, and check the official information regularly.
